Dear Georgians:
We, the undersigned

New Delhi, for a fellowship in Clinical Immunology and further post-grad training and clinical
research. He published in British Journal Lancet in 1984, Indian Heart Journal and other peer reviewed journals including,
as first author, from Harvard where he did further post-grad training and research in Cancer Epidemiology. After spending
nearly 7 years at Harvard, Dr. Khan has been consulting with pharmaceutical companies like Novartis, Pfizer, J&J, Schering-Plough
and Roche.
Dr. Khan has contributed to drug development and FDA approval of major anti-neoplastic agents
from these companies collaborating with Mass General, Sloane-Kettering, MG Anderson and Mayo Clinic, as well as immunosupressants

also at KGMC when he won an election for an editor of Anatomical Society and was later asked to run for Secretary of Clinical

Fair and representing KGMC in various inter-medical festivals. He also won KGMC Chess Championship. His literary works were
published in The Pioneer, National Herald, Amrit Bazaar Patrika and Women's Era.
Georgian Khan comes from a nation-building Indian family with impressive
public service record that includes one of the 50 Bharat Ratnas*, the very third President of India, Dr. Zakir Husain Khan who laid the foundation of basic education; and a Padma Bushan Josh Malihabadi, a freedom-fighter who inspired
the progressive literary movement and attitudes necessary for functioning of a liberal democracy. The national service of
his ancestors in pre-independence India included, Sir
Israr Hasan Khan , as the Prime Minister of Bhopal State, Ashfaq Hasan Khan , as the Prime Minister of Jaipur State
and Dost Mohammad Khan, the first Indian
to qualify for Wimbledon quarter finals. One of the greatest Georgians in public service,
Padma Bhushan Dr. Mahesh Prasad Mehray,
who founded a chain of Eye Hospitals was Dr. Khan's mentor and a father-figure. Dr. Mehray was a close associate of his
philanthropist grand-father who gifted his entire farm to the Eye Hospital project. With that inspiration Dr. Khan started
a voluntary free clinic for the poor of New Delhi with junior doctors of AIIMS. He also
volunteered with New Delhi Citizen's Committee to provide free emergency services in
1984 Delhi disturbances. In USA , Dr. Khan has worked with Global Organization of People
of Indian Origin, Federation of Indian Left, local Indian Associations such as Harvard and MIT students and alumni associations
with such luminiaries as Nobel Laureates Dr. Amratya Sen
and Dr. Bernard Lown and Dr.
Shashi Tharoor, former UN Deputy Director General.
In 1993, Dr. Khan volunteered on Hillary Clinton's Task force for Health Care and
was also recognized with an Outstanding Volunteer's Award of Brigham & Women's Hospital, the oldest Harvard teaching
hospital. Now, it is incumbent upon us Georgians to support fellow Georgian, Dr. Khan's campaign
for his 'Green for Your Health' and 'Universal Child Health Care' programs in New
Jersey!
